What young people can expect from the Connexions Service
Respect
You and our staff will be encouraged to
- give and receive respect
- treat each other as individuals and not pre-judge
- approach each other with an open mind
- work together and with others to achieve the best outcome for you
- turn up to appointments or let the other know if you can't
Involvement
- We are committed to actively seeking and supporting the involvement of young people ages 13-19 in the continuing design, development, delivery and evaluation of the service.
- We will ask for your input, listen to suggestions and respond through feedback and action.
- There will be clear and flexible ways for you to be involved, as demonstrated in the Strategy for Engaging Young People.
Access to information
- You can expect to receive information that you request on education, employment, leisure, cultural and other interests.
- Information will be available in a variety of ways to suit individual needs.
- You can expect wider access to relevant information, which will enable you to make more informed decisions and have more opportunities to be involved in things you want.
Support
- You can expect to receive support to access the information, advice or guidance that you need.
- We will support you in making contact with whoever/ whatever you need to help you overcome barriers.
