Confidentiality
We keep basic information about each young person so that we can give him or her the best help as and when they need it. This includes:
- Name
- Gender
- Ethnicity
- Date of birth
- School and grades
- What they are doing now e.g. at school, college, work or training.
We will not pass on information about a young person to anyone outside of our organisation without his or her agreement unless we have to by law or if it would put a person at risk if we do not.
We encourage young people to involve their parents when making decisions or seeking advice.
However, as a service for young people, we recognise their right- within the confines of the law – to choose whether or not to involve others.
