Leaving Care
- Children's Services (Social Services) will help you if you are about to leave care (either foster care or care home).
- If you are 16 or 17 and have been looked after, it will either be the housing people or Children’s Services (Social Services) who will help. It depends how long you were in care and at what age.
- If you are 18 - 20 and were looked after when you were 16 or 17, Children's Services (Social Services) can give you support and you can get accommodation through the housing department of your local council. The amount of help you can get will depend on how long you were looked after.
