Knowing more than we’ve ever known
‘Not known’ destinations for the period to November 2009 were down, down, down. All three areas of the Dorset sub-region have achieved genuine and amazing improvements on the number of 16-18 year olds for whom we do not have a definite destination.
Provisional figures show Bournemouth have less than 1% of 16 – 18 year olds. Dorset showed a drop of 2.4% on the previous year taking them to an all time low of 1.5% not knowns
Poolesaw a drop of 2.5 % on the 2008 figures.
Andrew Williams, said: “It’s a magnificent result all around. These are our best ever figures. For Bournemouth in particular to have achieved 0.7% ‘not knowns’ from 5.5% last year is a clear reflection of the commitment of staff and the drive to address the NEET (not in employment, education or training) issue.”
