Being a young parent
When you first find out you're going to be a parent, it may be a shock. It's a huge responsibility at any age but there are people and organisations who are there to help and support you, if you need it.
You do still have options and there is financial help available to 16 -19 year olds so that you can return to learning when you are ready.
Your Connexions adviser, midwife and health visitor may be able to tell you about young parents and parents-to-be group.
If you'd like to tell others about how it's been for you, why not use the contact us form. We won't print your details, just the stuff about how you've found it .
