YEAR 11 CHOICES

So you’re coming up to that point when you’ve got to make choices about what you’re going to do with your life.

If you are in year 11 you can legally leave school on the last Friday in June, even if you’re not 16 until July or August.  When you start year 11, it can seem like you’ve got loads of time until then. 

So, you do nothing….BAAAD move. 

OK, so what would be a GOOD move?

Action!

September:                         Start thinking!

October - December:         Start checking what’s out there!

January - March:               Get those application forms in for sixth form, college and national Apprenticeships!

April - June:                       Get those application forms done for local and other national Apprenticeships.

                                            Look for  vacancies!

June - August:                   Drop by the Connexions Centre to look for jobs and Apprenticeships!

August:                              Call Connexions if you need to change plans because of your exam results or whatever!
