GCSE’s

Much of Year 9 was taken up by deciding which ones to study and the next thing you have started!  So how can you make sure you do your best?

You will find homework beginning to increase to levels where you might feel that you haven’t got time for yourself anymore. The key is to make sure you have a balance between work and leisure. Look at your homework diary and try to do work as it is given to you so avoid things piling up. This means you will be less stressed and will normally have ample time to give work in.

Research is important as examiners will mark your coursework by the depth of information and knowledge within. If exams worry you, then course work offers you the chance to show your ability as you control what you submit!  If things get difficult there are lots of people available to talk to. Your tutor, parents, relatives, friends, Personal Adviser, will all understand what you are going through and can offer help, support and advice.

If you feel things are really getting you down there are organisations who are experienced in talking to young people. Please click on a link below for more help.  Connexions across Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole do not endorse the content of any external sites.
